Like so many other developers we have been hanging on to Dreamweaver 8 simply for the menu system and other products that were lost. We have tried a few others but have never found them to be quite what we were looking for. So we are nearly finished developing our own that includes parameter passing (most of the ones we tried out don't) and also support for AJAX stuff like thickbox. Yep i know this software is showing its age now and is no longer supported. But i wondered if anyone has figured out a fix for IE8. Seems the problem IE7 had with the expandable menus overlapping content thats below the menu instead of moving it has reappeared. I did use this on a number of sites and don't want to remove it all and start again. Thanks Mark

CSS Menu Overlap when too long

Hello Currently the CSS Menus 2 will overlap the original menu option choice when the sub menu options are too long. Here is an example: http://66.29.103.146/insurance/ When you mouse over "About Us" all sub menu items appear the "About Us" button. However, when you mouse over "Commercial" the sub menu items are so long that (if your screen is short) the sub menu items will over lap the original "Commercial" button. Expandable menu collapse, jump, flicker

Not sure if anyone can help me with this? I'm using the expandable menu on a site I'm developing here http://k-tizo.com/pipetech/products/cleaning-pigs/one-piece.html The problem is that everytime a sub category (of cleaning pigs) is clicked the menu collapses and expands in a split second giving the feeling that the page is jumping or flickering. Is there anyway to keep the expanded menu from collapsing and expanding when clicking a sub category? Thanks.
