What can I do?

Title: Upload the includes folder Date: 05-10-2005
Solution:

Either from Dreamweaver, or by using an external file transfer program, copy the entire includes folder from your local site root to the remote and testing server.

This can also happen after an upgrade operation performed on the MX Kollection suite. In this case, new files have been added to the local Includes folder, but haven't ben yet uploaded to the remote server. You should first use the Update includes folder command from the Control Panel to ensure that you have the latest version of the files in the local site root, and then upload the entire folder to the remote server.

Issue:

When I try to preview one of the pages created with MX Kollection 3, instead of the page content I get an error message saying: "Please upload the includes/ folder to the testing server."

  • Products: All InterAKT products that use the includes folder to store required files.
  • Operating System: All.
  • Server Models: All.
  • Dreamweaver version: any.
Reason: This happens because the Includes folder that is used by MX Kollection to keep its necessary files into one place has not been uploaded to the remote / testing server. Because of this, files that are needed by the MX Kollection components cannot be found, and the page is not executed. Instead, this warning message is displayed.
