Technote Details :: Issue when editing the Table Search Conf server behavior
Issue
When using MX Site Search on a large database, editing an applied Table Search Conf server behavior causes Dreamweaver problems.
Reason
MX Site Search allows you to apply the command to create the search form and results for a large database, with many tables. We have tested it with 70 tables and it works just fine.
However, there is a problem when trying to edit the tables configuration from the Dreamweaver server behaviors.
The problem is, when trying to edit a Table Search Conf server behavior. It does not work when searching in more than 40 tables and whose generated code exceed the limit of 25KB. In order to find out the size of the generated code, apply the Site Search command, copy the code above the <html> tag into a file and measure the file's size.
Solution
There is no current solution to this issue yet. We are working with Macromedia to fix this Dreamweaver MX bug. Until it's fixed, please bear with this limitation.
