Technote Details :: RSS 1.0 (RDF) support

The MX RSS Reader - Writer support for RSS 1.0 (also known as RDF) is experimental in the current release.

MX RSS Reader - Writer only supports a subset of the RSS 1.0 (RDF) nodes. The MX RSS Reader engine will actually try convert the RSS 1.0 (RDF) file to simple RSS 2.0 format. The engine will try to convert several elements present in the Dublin Core specification.

Also, the engine will try to detect the <item> nodes specified in the RDF and move them as sub-elements of the <channel> element. All the namespaces will be then removed and the engine will try to parse the resulting XML as a simple RSS file.

There is no further solution to this issue at the moment. Improved support for the RSS 1.0 (RDF) standard will be announced when available.
