Technote Details :: Different date and time formats

The dates and times displayed throughout the MX Kollection interfaces and applications use a different format than the one my database supports.

• Products: All InterAKT Extensions using the Control Panel

• Operating System: All.

• Server Models: All.

• Dreamweaver version: any.

This happens because you use a screen format for date and time that is different from the database format. In InterAKT extensions that use the Control Panel, two distinctive formats are used:

• The screen format - this is the displayed / used format.

• The database format - the format under which data is stored in the database tables.

The screen and database formats can be different, because an automatic conversion is made, thus resulting in correctly stored information.

To define the screen and the database format, you have to access the InterAKT Control Panel > Date formats.

The screen format is used in all components of MX Kollection, ranging from dynamic drop-down to the date-picker widget.

Based on the defined format, when entering a date into a field that uses validation, or a NeXTensio filter field, the actual value is auto-completed based on the Control Panel specified format.
