Technote Details :: MX Kollection 3 Professional upgrade issues

I have installed the MX Kollection 3 Professional extension without removing the Standard version first. After that I have removed the Standard version. Now I cannot use or remove the Professional version.

This happens because the Standard and Professional versions of MX Kollection 3 share some files. If you happen to have both versions and you uninstall one, the other one will no longer work properly. Also, uninstall of the remaining version is impossible.

To correct these problems, you should follow these steps:

1. Check that you have indeed had installed both extensions at the same time and afterwards you removed the Standard version.
2. If you try to remove the Professional version, an error message occurs.
3. Close Dreamweaver and the Extension Manager.
4. Double-click the MX Kollection 3 Professional mxp file to install it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
5. Now the Professional version will work as expected. You can also remove it without problems, as the shared files have been restored.
