Technote Details :: I get an error when displaying thumbnails
Issue
Whenever MX Kollection tries to create a thumbnail for display, it causes an error on display, sayiong that the image cannot be found. Thumbnail files do not get generated on the remote server, but works fine on my local machine.
Reason
This happens because of a bug in PHP version 4.4.1 which has the SAFE_MODE option set to ON. Due to this bug the thumbnail file cannot be created. For more details regarding this bug see the bug report here.
Solution
In order to solve this issues you must:
- Upgrade PHP to a newer version that is not affected by the bug. You can get the latest version here.
- Turn SAFE_MODE toOFF. This however involves some security risks that might make your server vulnerable to attacks.
