Technote Details :: I do not get any results when visiting the Online Troubleshooter
Issue
I have translated my site's messages and I stopped receiving results for my problems when visiting the Online Troubleshooter.
Reason
This happens because aside the messages that can be translated, some that are not allowed were as well. These later messages are called developer errors, and are marked in the resource files by a trailing _D after each variable.
The Online Troubleshooter works by analyzing the error code and message submitted from the site, based on keywords that are defined in English. Translating the messages that contain the keywords will result in no search results, and thus no help can be provided.
Solution
We strongly suggest not to translate the developer errors. Only translate all other messages in the files from the resources.
Although we are continuously trying to improve the Knowledge Base mechanism for recognising the errors, you should not translate the developer messages to ensure you will receive the best help possible.
