MMAdobe Forum Details :: Confused...

I don't know about the rest of you (former InterAKT customers), but I'm confused to the reasons why Adobe purchased InterAKT.  They have discontinued development on every product InterAKT produced except for the core Kollection products (which is quite a few if you think about it) and haven't enhanced/improved the product since the acquisition.

My personal belief on the subject (which I'm sure we will not get a straight answer from anyone at Adobe) is Adobe saw the value of Kollection at the core and how it interacted with DW.  Hopefully they will integrate the Kollection functionality into the next version of DW and support all server models.  They also realized the value of the InterAKT team and their understanding of how to create QUALITY extensions and brought them on board for that reason.

Since the acquisition, my bet is that the InterAKT team was instrumental in creating the SPRY extensions/integration into DWCS3 along with documentation on how to use it.  Not to mention restructuring Kollection to become ADDT.

My hope is that development is continuing in the ADDT that will COMPLETE (full support for all the server models) the extension.  As for KTML, people get over it, they shelved it (for now?).  Adobe might have plans to re-work the product to meet higher quality standards (we don't know and they won't tell us).

I guess we are just going to have to wait and see what lies ahead.  As for the old InterAKT team.  Keep up the good work (whatever they have you doing right now) and thank you for providing useful extensions as long as you did.  As for the rest of you, quit complaining, life is to short.
