This thread was displayed: 0 times

Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

Is it possible to install both Dreamweaver 8 and the new Dreamweaver CS3 on the same computer?

Hello,

For this question, please ask Dreamweaver support as they are the ones that can give you a definite answer.

I did and it seems to work fine, but... read on --

I continue to use DW8 with Kollection for some sites, and DW CS3 with Developer Toolbox for others.

Both versions use the same site info, so you have to remember which version you're using for a particular site!

For example, some older sites I don't want to update includes folder so I can keep Kollection.  I started renaming the sites to help with (e.g. DW8-sitename).

Also, any .mxp will automatically install for new CS3 version (at least, if run by clicking that file from within a folder).

Longterm, I'm going to have to migrate older sites to CS3 but that means replacing discontinued Interakt extensions first.
