Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

Hi,
today I stumbled across the announcement of Adobe Dreamweaver CS and was wondering wether this new release will support my Interakt extensions; or are they built in.
On the Adobe site nothing was said about this extremely important issue - Dreamweaver without Interakt Extensions? - unthinkable!!

Hello,
Dreamweaver CS3 does not contain Kollection. Also, the Kollection bundle is not compatible with Dreamweaver CS3.

Hi,
thank you for the rapid answer. This means that there is no reason to update for the moment. What are the future plans concerning an implementation of Kollection?

Yes, we'd like to know more about Interakt and CS3... You still sell Kollection and KTML; Kollection is not supported; what about KTML? Will Kollection be supported (or have a new release) soon...? We want to work with those extensions, but want to upgrade to DW CS3 too!!
What about the other "older" Interakt extensions? Are they integrated with CS3 or we'll have to install our old ones? Will they be supported by CS3? For ex. there seems to have AJAX tools and CSS drop-down menus, so will we still need MX CSS Menu 2 extension? And what about MX Calendar, MX Site Search, etc, etc...
We'd like to know if we better keep our "old" version 8 with our Interakt extensions or upgrade to CS3 without them and have all the same functionalities...!
Thank you.
Nelson

Well, this is a good news, though it would have been good (if not better) to just release an update to make version 3.7.1 compatible with DW CS3...
But it's just part of the answer: What about KTML?
And what about the others that Interakt doesn't sell anymore? Are they included in DW CS3? If not, will the ones we already have be compatible?
It looks like we'll need to have both DW 8 and CS3 if we want to continue using our extensions... :(

Hello Michael,
We plan to release a new Kollection version that will be compatible with Dreamweaver CS3. The new version will not include all the current functionality included in the Kollection bundle.
This new version will be released as a new product and will be available on the Adobe Store. The release date is not yet public, but the product will become available soon after Dreamweaver CS3 will be available.
Sincerely,
Cristinel

Hi Christinel,
this is really good news! The remaining problem is with the other extensions first of all Database driven CSS menus and KTML. I think everybody of us would like to see a CS3-compatible version of these fantastic tools. The same holds for sitesearch and NEXTENSIO lists and forms.
Michael
PS: Why did Adobe swallow you and then hesitating to make the next logical step: A tight integration of all your stuff into CS3 or whatever version?
Was it just to remove you from the market?

Hello,
We have released a new version of Kollection, named Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox. The new product is available for purchase on the Adobe Store for $299. Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox will be available in regional stores by end of June, 2007.
Following this release, Kollection will be discontinued as a product offering and will no longer be updated or available for sale. As compared to Kollection, Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox does not include KTML and MX CSS Menus, which have been discontinued. In addition, PHAkt has been discontinued and the PHP_ADODB server model has been removed from Kollection.
Current Kollection customers are eligible for a free upgrade to Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox. All eligible customers will receive email notifications containing upgrade instructions.
MX Kollection 3 and MX Kollection 3 Pro customers will be able to purchase Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox at a discounted price. All eligible customers will receive email notification containing upgrade instructions.
For more information about Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox, visit the product page on: www.adobe.com/go/addt
Thank you,
Cristinel

I like this reason to buy:
-
Create web interfaces for database administration
Generate dynamic HTML lists and forms to display and edit database content. Choose between multiple controls for the form fields - text fields, dynamic menus, check-boxes, radio buttons, text areas, and the KTML visual HTML editor. The resulting HTML pages will allow customers to filter and search database records and then insert, update, or delete multiple database records.
