Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

It appears not, I loved InterAKT because it was a focused small business and my fears are that this will be lost. This is already evident in the extentions that are being droped.
I am also upset about this, for purely selfish reasons, because now everyone will find out about InterAKT extentions and my advantage will be lost.

I agree. I was about to purchase Interakt's MX Commerce, but it was dropped for no good reason. Why drop something which works so well.

Hello guys,
Dropping products was a hard exercise for us too. And it's the (ex) MX Kommerce product manager that writes you this. Some of the technology in those products may come up later in other Adobe products, but I cannot speculate on this.
And about loosing advantage ... I just cannot believe you guys didn't spread the word about our products if you liked them :)
Regards,
Mihai

I did not agree on that part. I myself hold you guys on a pedestal and help get the word out.
On another note, when I go to my products page I don't have a download for the KTML I purchased. Supposedly, the Kollection Pro 3.7.1 was suppose to have the latest version of the KTML 4.1.6 included, but when I installed the Kollection Pro the KTML was not in the extension. What is up with that?

Just on the note about spreading the word about interAKT,
Why would I tell my opposition about such a great suit of products?

Kenneth,
The new InterAKT Kollection is just a big budle and it came like a big zip. So you should have 4 folders in witch you have 4 zips in which you will have some MXP which you will need to install :)
In particular for KTML you should go into Kollection-3_7_1.zip:/KTML_4/KTML4_developer_4_1_6.zip and here you will find KTML4Dev-4_1_6.mxp and KTML4-Help-4_1_6.mxp.

Mihai

I did spread the work on InterAKT. I can't believe Adobe is so foolish as to take away a huge number of amazing extentions for no reason other than to ?>#$%@ us off. The extentions worked great, continue to work great, and now we all have to find other ways. Maybe someone will pop up and compete with Adobe and bring us a new Dreamweaver alternative and a new set of useful extentions. I'd be all for an Adobe word if they understood the market. Buying InterAKT just to kill them is a sign that they have no clue about what we do out here in the real world!!

It's that form of thinking which is the same as Adobe. You find some thing great and keep it for your self so no one else can prosper. Adobe buys a company and they keep it for themselves so no one else can prosper.

lol .. Michael .. you're really cute. Adobe would never have bought anything to make you mad .. they don't even know who *you* are. They saw a chance to establish an office in an area of the world where they don't exist and at the same time, get some good programming minds to expand their product. It's win win, really.

Thanks. I agree.....they don't know who I am. However, what disturbs me is that they don't know who people like me are. We are people who buy their products and develop web solutions for a large number of customers. We are people who buy extentions from companies like InterAKT to make our programming lives WAY easier. I completly understand wanting good people and I completly understand wanting a presence in another part of the globe. But to kill perfectly good extentions that had no competition is beyond foolish. They could have continued to sell them, for the small imvremental income to Adobe, while they figured out what to do for the long term. Or.....maybe they already decided what they want to do for the long term......inadvertantly alienate people like me and the company I own who have spent a great deal of money with Macromedia and have to make upgrade decisions all the time and have to decide if I should even read the mass quantities of Adobe product related emails that flood my inbox every week.

Thats such a good point!
I really have told everyone I can think of about Interakt and their products... but people dont necessarily take my word for what products to buy... they sometimes have to discover things for themselves.... My partner, for example still prefers to try to figure things out for himself rather than use someone elses "tools". The result is...I can do anything he can do....but in half the time.... Oh well..
My only problem with Interakt going to Adobe is now I have to figure out other ways to do all this stuff. Sure the $1000 worth of extesnsions I bought work great now... but when Adobe upgrades to DW version 9, or whatever it will be - thats it for us. What a shame....and what a waste.
