Details - InterAKT Site :: Alternative to KTML4
This thread was displayed: 0 times
Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

Hallo All
I've seen in many other posts, that most of us are searching for an alternative to the discontinued KTML, as this is supposed to be incompatible with DWCS3.
My suggestion would be to offer the standalone versions of KTML (PHP, JSP, .NET) as a free download, at least for KTML or Kollection owners.
So no one would have to lose the functionality he has already paid for.
Integrating the stand-alone versions into newly developed CS3 sites should not break any server-side behaviours or DW code.
Please consider this as an option for your loyal customers.
Cheers
Willi

Hello Willi,
Kollection users will be able to download KTML from the interaktonline.com website and install it in Dreamweaver 8 and still use it.
Advanced users will still be able to take the KTML includes folder and use it on a Dreamweaver CS3 website, but please take into consideration that this scenario is not supported.
Best regards,
Cristinel

Here is a link to most WYSIWYG editors...
http://www.geniisoft.com/showcase.nsf/WebEditors
I've used many of them (TinyMCE, FCKEditor, Asbrusoft, WYSIWYG PRO).
Each editor has its good and bad parts...(Many of them are better than KTML).
For example, WYSIWYG PRO works with 5.0+ browsers...and, Asbrusoft's editor can be customized extensively...It allows you to use a better spell checking package than KTML.
The only part that is not good is you must do these things manually. There are no other DW extensions that give you point and click integration...

NONE of these.
I have tried them all, and they are no where near the KTML4 quality.
