Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

I have been working on your "Building a Forum with Dreamweaver" tutorial and have discovered an area that needs clarification.  I had completed parts 1 & 2 with no problems.  Then when it came to adding a post, I had a problem with the Insert Record portion.  After using the Insert Record Wizard, I added the web form OK.  After testing, all the variables looked good (URL, Session and {now_dt}).  I had to work on getting the date in the correct format so that the DB would accept it...anyway, when I came to remove idtop, idusr and date from the form, the insert stopped working!  After much trial and error, I discovered that you have to not only delete the 3 items from the HTML form, but you have to edit the insert transaction for the 3 variables from "Form in Page" to "Entered Value" and adjust the "Value" to reflect the variables.  So, step 16 on page 8-9 (Part 3) should clarify how you adjust the insert form to work properly.

Thanks for letting me vent a little.....you products are great!  When I finish my site, I will send the link.  I incorporate RSS and pieces of the Forum.

I found my problem.....I was using the "Display as: Text Field" instead of just "Text" in the Insert Record Wizard.  Now I "get it".....if you do leave the "Text" on your page before you delete the HTML, you can double check the variables that are being passed.

Thanks for the tutorials, it really helps to learn your product!
