Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

Hi,
Why is the product documentation now only available as .chm and Flash files ? This makes printing it a pain as it has to be done page by page (unless I'm missing something) whereas the old .pdf files could be printed with no problem. I prefer to read up on good old fashioned paper before hitting the keyboard so could someone help me out here ?
Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter,
I am sorry but due to the large number of documentation pages we no longer support PDF format (which is hard to keep up to date and presents some challenges on editing).
For the MX Kollection tutorials you can also find a PDF format to print out, but the rest of the documentation is only available in CHM and Flash. Please understand that in some cases the documentation for one InterAKT product can span over more than 1000 pages and keeping it up to date is difficult in PDF.

Hi Magda,
Thanks for your reply. But this doesn't make learning how to use your products any easier !
Regards

Hi Peter,
We consider that the CHM/Flash formats bring some improvements to our documentation and help speed up the learning process. While in a PDF you can only go in a linear fashion from one page to another, the CHM and Flash formats offer comprehensive searches and index to help you navigate dirrectly to the item that interests you.
Say for example you are looking for one particular command. In a normal PDF documentation you would have to read probably a couple of douzin pages before you reach the exact one that you are interested in.
In Flash/CHM you can simply skip to the index and get the precise command up on screen.
I know that the format does take some time getting used to, but I can assure you it will proove a real time saver once you try it out.

Is there any way to download the full help system as CHM or Flash? I find it a massive help and read it whenever I am about to start a project, but I am not always on line at the time... having a local copy would be brilliant!

Hi Hal,
The documentation page of each product includes a downloadable version of the CHM. The Flash is only accesible on our website.
Please go to the Documentation page for more details.
