This thread was displayed: 742 times
Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

Where can I find instructions on "Proper installation" of MXCallendar and MXCollection upgrades? I use both in DW8 and usually have issues when I install the upgrades. This time I'd like to avoid the problem.
Things I think I've learned about doing these updates:
- Closed all open documents in DW and then close DW before beginning
- Install the MXKollection upgrades before the MCCallendar upgrades
Is this correct?
Can you think of any other Interakt Extension installation tips or best practices I have missed?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Teena,
This depends on what version of MX Kollection you own and to what version you are upgrading - if you upgrade from MX Kollection Standard to MX Kollection Pro, you need to uninstall the older version first.
Anyway, a general safeer and quicker method involves renaming the "Configuration" folder for Dreamweaver before installation of any extensions (you will have to reinstall all extensions again, not oly MX Kol. and MX Calendar).
You can read here about this opperation.
regards,
Ionut
