ColdFusion General :: ColdFusion VS. PHP?

Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

I creating a site comming up soon after I finish a site for a friend. I was wondering what would be better over all? I heard coldfusion has better security than php. But the source, lets just say im iffy on it. So I was wonder on your guy's input to see what I should make it out of.

Im editing this to make this PHP VS. ColdFusion VS. ASPX

All the tools do a good job.  If you already know one language, then why bother learning another to do a basic project?  Unless you are really interested in learning, ni which case make the same site in the 3 languages to see which works best for you.

That said, ColdFusion is my preference.  Faster development time in my opinion.  Strong tool set.  Not free, but easily found for low cost hosting.
