KTML for Dreamweaver Forum :: Remote File Explorer does not work with IE6

Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

Set up KTML ( with your help ) and it all works fine with Firefox. But when I try to open the remote file explorer using IE6 the new window opens and then immediately closes without an error message. Same thing on two separate machines. So I then tried your demo page http://www.interaktonline.com/Products/Online-HTML-Editor/KTML-for-Dreamweaver/Live-Demos/ The result was the same - remote file explorer will work with Firefox but not IE6.

Hello Peter,
Please check if you don't have a pop-up blocker enabled in IE. Or try to allow pop-ups from the page you have and let us know if you still have this issue.

I had already ensured the pop ups were enabled. But I have found the problem. IE will open Remote File Explorer correctly if I unload the Norman Ad-watch spyware protection which was installed on both the machines that I tried this on. This will not be a problem when this site is live.

I am having a simlilar prob with my client. I use fire fox and ie 7 and the file explorer works fine, my client i think is on ie 6 gets a different file upload which does not work, it browses, selects the doc but hangs, it does not upload anything. I am using ktml 4, could it be a fire wall? i have looked into the tech notes but discusses it in flash?
