This thread was displayed: 0 times

Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

They won't. It's the new customer relationship direction by Adobe. Don't you love it?

Start thinking how to find time and money to rewrite from zero your phakt site to a standard php+mySQL.

You can manage your PHP_ADODB sites with DW 8 Francesco, you will use DW CS3 with new sites.

NO! Again this answer. It's unacceptable!

If you costantly administer an important community site you cannot think to manage it with DW8 forever. What about new implementations? What about new services for the users, what about new layout solutions, and what about new CS3 functions that I have to pay?. The truth is that all the code made with kollektion + phakt now is trash, and all the money we invested to buy former interakt products are lost. I bought kollection wen Interakt was already adobe, and phakt was still freely downloadable AND NOONE SAYD NOTHING ABOUT HIS FUTURE DISMISSION. It's the bigges damage I've ever seen in the customer relationship made by a company.

And again this yours post: http://www.interaktonline.com/Products/Bundles/MXKollection/Product-Forum/Details/140106/Windows+Vista+%252F+Kollection+3.7.1.html

makes your answer here simply ridicolous.

Should I never upgrade to Vista to mantain my sites?

Be serious! you did a real disaster to your former customers. Of course you have to think to your business, and you did the right thing for you, but admit the damage you all made to your former customers. It's a shame that such a thing was made by an European company. We demostrated another time our submission to USA companies.

This decision has been taken by different considerings that I am not even familiar with. Nothing to do with our European team, I am sorry.

I understand your point but I don't think I am able to help at this point.

Regards,
Ionut

I agree with Luis and Francesco. Some of my most important customers need other databases than MySQL and unless Adobe will re-integrate the adodb server model or will support those databases as it was with adodb, I won't buy CS3 (which is even - as far as I know - not longer available as one package for both, Win and Mac).

Let's see how many others will be annoyed about this situation...

I totally agree. I need to connect to DB2 which worked perfectly well with Phakt and MX2004. I would love to upgrade to CS3 for the Spry integration but if it will only allow connectivity to MySQL...frankly I'm speechless. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
