Dear Sir,

I encountered this error message after installing Mx tree menu.

"while excuting insertbar.xml, the following Javascript error occured: Reference Error: SERVERMODEL_JSP IS NOT defined.

Just after the installation I was promptrd to click ok to rebuild the Interakt insert bar. I did so, this error then set off.

I also have Mx Css menu installed in the same Interakt Insert bar.

I have tried to deleat all cache dat files found in every account in my computer(http://www.interaktonline.com/Support/Knowledgebase/Technote/Details/185/15/When+working+with+various+server+behaviors+I+get+random+JavaScript+errors..html) but the problem still persist. What do I have to do next to resolve this error.

Regards

kossanah

Hello,

Try following these steps:

  • close Dreamweaver
  • remove the file <system_drive>:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\WinFileCache-xxxxxxxx.dat

If this does not work, try renaming the above Configuration folder into something like Configuration 1 (while Dreamweaver is closed) and restart Dreamweaver.

Dear Razvan,

Thank you for your assistance. I am still having more problem this time I can't access my Dreamweaver Recordset, I cannot work on database.

I actually removed my prevision installion and reinstalled a new tree mxp. Now I have problem: "Javascript error while loading Recordset.htm: at line 1111 of "C:\program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\ServerBehaviour\PHP_MySQL\Recordset.js": theStr=theStr.replace(/(?>)*/gi,);//remove close tags

syntaxError:invalid quantifer?

What do I  do. I suppose since am the only person reporting this error, there might be a problem with my ext package, I have therefore attached a copy here, If necessary, send my a fresh copy from your achieves at your disposal, to me.I use Dreamweaver 8.0 version. Thank you.

Regards

I get the same message as the user above, "while excuting insertbar.xml, the following Javascript error occured: Reference Error: SERVERMODEL_JSP IS NOT defined." It pops up all the time when the extension MX tree menu is installed, and goes away if unistall the extension. I've tried both solutions from Razvan Racasanu, but ufortunately with no success.

I was wondering if it could have something about me running DW 8.02? The extensions is valid for MX 2004 it says, but I guess the reason why DW 8 is not mentioned could be because at the time of the production of the extension this version of DW wasn't developed?

Any other solution to this, so I could carry on using the fine MX Tree Menu extension in the future?

Hello,

This could be the cause because the 1.0.0 version is not compatible with Dreamweaver 8.

Ok, so is it possible to download a newer version for free? As I understand the MX Tree Menu is a free product?
