Details :: JSEclipse - Beta testing group
This thread was displayed: 1,067 times
Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

Join us in the effort to develop a better JSEclipse by enrolling to our beta testing group.
You will have access to beta releases of JSEclipse and you will have the chance to make a difference and get your needs implemented into the product.
JSEclipse 1.5 beta feature list
- The new code completion engine has a lot more recognition capabilities being able to understand complex syntax like the one used in prototype.js or dojo frameworks.
- If JavaScript functions a well commented the code completion presenter will show the comment.
- Improved content outline. Based on the same powerful engine, the content outline has become better.
- The better Javascript syntax understanding allowed us to implement a useful code folding.
- Finding a variable occurrences inside a file has become easier due to the new occurrence marker.
- To help developers, JSEclipse includes now auto-edit strategies for paired characters {[(" and ' along with auto-edit strategies for multiline comments and javadoc comments
- For editing JavaScript resources from another files (HTML, PHP, CF...) just place the cursor inside a <script> tag in your favorite editor or select a piece of JavaScript code and click on the "Edit in JSEclipse" option in the contextual menu.
- JavaScript problems are now reported in a pure Eclipse style inside the "Problems" panel.
- JSEclipse is now JRE 1.4 compatible.
For the beginning the group will have only 10 members as it will be hard for me to keep in contact with more. So please do not be sad if you will not be selected.
All those who want to be part of it please send me an email to rstratulat{remove}[at]interaktonline{remove}[dot]com.
You need an account on this site to be able to participate in the beta
program. Please send along the email the account was created for.
I will need in the email a short description of yourself (what is your experience), what are the projects you are involved in and are related to JavaScript development.
Thank you.

hi guys, JS Eclipse 1.5? erm its out today right? is that for public or beta testing only? I would really like it - from the feature list sounds awesome for OOP in Javascript. Which being very font of OO i would like very much.
Sorry to be a pain? i understand if its not ready - things happen and things get delayed - happens everywhere :)

The release was delayed until today (14 March) due to technical problems beond our control. The internet was down here at the InterAKT for almost all day (in fact it was down for about a third of the country as one major ISP lost connection with Europe or something).
