NeXTensio Forum :: NeXTensio List with Insert

Hello-

First, I am using MX Kollection Pro with MySQL/PHP.

This question has more to do with writing a custom trigger than anything else. I have a NeXTensio list which does not use or need a filter. If the list is empty, I want to insert a record. I have created the insert transaction, but I am having difficulty creating a custom trigger to fire the transaction.

I am not sure I understand your scenario. Please explain again, because I don't understand why you can't just use the "Add" button from the List.

I am writing a convention registration system for a client. Each of the client's members must enter the names in his party, his vehicles, and the events the people in his party want to participate in. I have a NeXTensio list and form for each of the names, vehicles, and events. 

If the name list is empty, I would like to insert the member's name because he must be one of this party. 

Conceptually, I suppose I could check to see if the 'names' table is empty for each member and redirect to a page to do the insert, but I thought I might be able to do it on the NeXTensio list page.

You can't do it form the List, you have to use the NeXTensio Form page.
