Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

Hi,
I am trying to implement MX Site Search
into a Japanese site using encoded in UTF. All of the other Interakt plugins have worked, so far, but I am getting Gibberish when I try to display search results containing Japanese. Additionally when the search term itself contains Japanese searches come up empty.
Any help you can give me on this issue would be appreciated.

Can you tell me what scripting technology you are using (ASP, PHP, CF) and what database?

Hello,
There are some limitations in the MySQL fulltext search engine regarding Japanese characters. Also there could be some problems when creating the cache table as some PHP functions are not multibyte encoded. You should also check that the database collation is set to UTF-8 and also that the cache database is correctly created.
