MX Site Search Forum :: Getting Site Search or the equivalent
This thread was displayed: 213 times
Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

Hi,
So now that Adobe has unfortunately taken over and restricted a great company, does anyone know how to get hold of Site Search or the equivalent?

Hello Lan,
MX Site Search has been discontinued and is no longer distributed. In addition, InterAKT product license does not allow users to resell their license. Selling the license is a breach of the Agreement and it make the license useless. Both the seller and the buyer will no longer be able to use the product. Please take this into account when trying to get a copy of the product.
Therefore, we would recommend you to either build a site search based on Kollection and its tNG framework, or look for an alternative additional module that can used used together with Kollection.
Sincerely,
Cristinel

Hi Cristinel,
It is a shame that Adobe has chosen to remove access to some of your great products. Anyway, I might try your idea of attempting to build a version of SiteSearch. Any chance of getting a copy of the SiteSearch manual so I will at least have some idea of where to start and how to attack the problem?
Thanks,
Lance
