Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

Hi
Everytime i click the QuB button when creating a recordset it presents me with the usual choose existing query, sql box, and create new button.
When I click create new button and fill a name into the subsequent popup the red text appears next to the existing query dropdown box saying 'Please refresh' and when i do the box reverts back to an advanced view for the standard recordset...
I just cannot get QuB to launch...
php/mysql, xp box, dw8.02

Hello,
Please explain again - you click to add a new query, input the name and then click "OK"? And then the QuB window does not launch?
What is the primary browser defined in DW?

Hi
Thats pretty much it... you click to add a new query, input the name and then click "OK"? And then the QuB window does not launch?
There is no attempt to launch a browser it just says refresh list in the existing QUB query dropdown and when you press refresh it reverts back to the standard advanced recordset box.
I am using ie7 as primary browser however this still occus when i use i6 or firefox as primary...

Hi,
I too have started having troubles with QUB. It was working a few days ago but now I get a Java error "While executing Server-Beh-PHP-Qub3.htm a javascript error occurred."
This message pops up twice and then the read text "Please Refresh" apears next to the Query Name textfield.
Is this an error in the latest version of QUB or a security issue with IE7? I too have Firefox. HOwever, get the same action when I used firefox as the default browser in DW8.
Can you give any help to resolve this matter?
Thanks

Hi,
Thank you for your reply informing me that DW8 and MXKollections is not Vista compatible. I new of some issues with DW8, however what I find interesting however, is that QuB did work until I upgraded the MXKollection to Pro...
I would love to help track down this error and perhaps help locate a solution. Turning off the Vista security settings did not stop the error. Is there an easy way to debug java script errors in QuB on Windows?
Also, I realize that you have no control over how Adobe chooses to remove and discontinue old products and offerings. However, I feel the need to state that not providing some language in the buyout agreement to the effect that current products would continue to be supported for some period of time was a bit of short sightedness on InterAtk's part. I also feel that Adobe has done the InterAtk client community a great disservice buy not at least allowing the downloading of discontinued products for current InterAtk clients who depend on these items both to complete the tutorials and to aid in client site development.
I found InterAtk a year ago and was surprised by the functionality provided in DW extensions. I was very pleased to find this high level abstraction provided in both ASP and PHP, which often seem to be two different side of the development coin. For someone who develops in both, and often wrote my code from the ground up or used libraries and APIs, the InterAtk product line was the perfect toolset to reduce my development time and provide quality solutions to my clients. I was very disappointed to find that many of the products have been made unavailable by Adobe. I only worked through a few tutorials when I purchased the products last year and wanted to go through the rest a couple months ago. I then found that some of the tutorials require free downloads that are no longer available.
Please forward these comments to Adobe. I realize they may do nothing but if I am only one of many who feel discontent, perhaps they will at least provide a temporary download site where we can obtain the missing extensions and discontinues products.
I have made the upgrade to Kollection Pro. However, I will wait to see how Adobe does in continued support and development before investing any further in InterAtk or Adobe products. If Adobe wishes to keep current InterAtk clients happy, they need to address both the lack of features provided by the discontinued products and the need to continue development of new products in the InterAtk line.
If the behemoth Abode believes that loosing the current client base will be of no financial concern, then they need to realize that most of us also use other Adobe products and loosing us as InterAtk clients will undoubtedly affect our perspective and patronage of other Adobe Products.
Thanks for your quick response to my debugging issue, and for providing quality products to the web development community.
Sincerely,
|

Hello guys,
Regarding the QuB problem - I think that the suggestions given in this thread could help.
Regarding the discontinued products - any user that owns a commercial product (even if discontinued) is still able to download it from his account on this InterAKT website. You just can't buy the discontinued products anymore.
Regards,
Ionut

Yes, it is true that I can download the purchased product. However, I cannot download the once free additions that arte required to complete the tutorial. Things like the tree menu are no where to be found! Is there a place I can get it?

What is the tutorial that you are talking about?
The MX Tree Menu extension is not available anymore, indeed.

Hi,
I still have this issue. However, deleting the cache file seems to fix the problem for a while. Then once again, the issue arrises again. So I have to delete the cache once and restart DW once again. I have tried un-installing and re-installing DW and all extensions and still the issues exists.

Hi
I gave up and now manually write out my sql statements. None of the suggestions addressed my problem and as this site is now effectively dead, along with our verions of the products, doesn't seem likely it will ever be resolved....
