I've a new site working locally fine with EasyPHP.

There is a folder "images" where the subfolders 1,2, 3, ...... are created with multiple-upload or sngle_upload.

This folder has CHMOD=777 Obviously I can't set the subfolders CHMOD to 777 since the subfolder is created by the upload SB.

What can I do against the error message appended ?

Hello,

Do you have "safe_mode" enabled in "php.ini"? Do you use a FTP account to put the files on a remote testing server?

What is your testing environment?

I use EasyPHP (Apache+MySQL) locally for designing and testing with Dreamweaver8.

The problem arrives on the distant server.

Many things are getting wrong on the distant server.

To-day an old site I don't modify since a while runs bad in displaying pictures and slide show with galley. ??????

Does your question apply to my local php.ini or on the distant ?

What do you mean by FTP-account on the remote ? I have the same folders, locally and remotely, labelled 'images", "docs" or "uploads" all turned to chmod=777.

I was asking about "php.ini" settings on the testing server on which you have the problem, of course.

And I was thinking about the problem described by this technote. I am not sure what your exact problem is, you should give more details.

ON my Local Apache, I've turned safe_mode to ON and left safe_mode_grid to OFF.

I have no access to the distant Apache server.

Things look OK so far.

Thanks
