When applying az navigation to a table that has sortable fields, it removes the variables required to the az to work properly and causes sql errors.  Specifically it removes the list recordset variable.  Is this a known issue?  When I manually renter the code, it works fine...my guess would be that there isn't going to be a patch released for this but wanted to point it out for adobe when they integrate the product into dreamweaver 9

Hi Richard,

Indeed, A-Z Navigation feature is not fully compatible with NeXTensio List (it works on ASP, but not on PHP - I presume you use PHP).

This is actually a custom page that has MX dynamic table sorter and MX Navigation Pack AZ extensions applied to it.  It is a PHP page but I've experienced the same issue on ASP pages as well.

First I create a recordset, then apply under the application tab a dynamic sort table to that recordset.  When I then add a-z navigation via the MX Navigation Pack it removes the $orderParam__ from PHP pages, this happens to asp pages as well __orderParam, variables.  If I do it it in opposite order, say I create a recordset then apply create a table with a repeating region to display 25 records, then add the az navigation first, then go back and add the table sort, it does the same thing only it remove this time the __colnameAZ for ASP pages and $colnameAZ for PHP pages.  If I manually add back in the variables, all works no problems.

Just wanted to point out what I had come accross.

I am sorry, I made a confusion. There are also known compatibility issues with the MX Dynamic Table Sorter and MX Navigation Pack extensions.

We can't provide a general fix, unfortunatelly. Thank you for sharing the issue and fix with other clients here.

Regards,
Ionut
