Hello David,

I see this problem (with the table sorter) is related to the one you've posted here too.

As for the database search problem, from the code I see that you are using another Dreamweaver extension (not ours), so I'm not sure how we can help you with this one.

The trouble is that Dreamweaver 8.0.2 recordset code is different from the one older versions of Dreamweaver (including 8.0.0.) creates. That's why I've asked you first to edit the recordset behavior and click OK - to generate the new code for the recordset. And only after that apply the Table Sorter behavior.

Please let's continue the discussion on the other thread.

Regards,
Florin

hi :

as i wrote to you in my last post i already tried that before and after applying the search and i created a new brand page ( which i sent it to you already ) with 8.0.2 and used your extension and database search extension from webassist with so many variations and it doesn't work also not only with there extension it doesn't work
i tried aslo your extension with some other extensions , simply after applying the dynamic table sorter other extensions
can't see the RS and if i use your extension after i applying other extension your extension
breaks the code and it doesn't work .
maybe it's me but try it by your self and you'll see that maybe i'm not mistaken.

as for using other extensions , if your help based just for your extension so then i can't use your extension with other extensions , if you can't help  so ... thanks anyway .

Hello Dave,

Dreamweaver 8.0.2 generated code for recordsets differs from the one that was generated by Dreamweaver MX 2004, or Dreamweaver 8.0.0. We have released versions of our products that are Dreamweaver 8.0.2 compatible soon after the 8.0.2 release.

I analyzed the code from your page, and the code for the Dynamic Table sorter is generated correctly. I don't know why the recordset does not get recognized by other behaviors from other extension providers. Please try to make the following test: create a new page, create a new recordset on it, and use only the Dynamic Table sorter behavior on it. Then, check if you see the Recordset listed in the Server behaviors tab (it should appear as a ListRecordset)

Regards,
Florin
