Form Validation Forum :: Bad word filter

Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

Is possible to add a bad word filter to form validation,,not so much for passwords but for user_names..or could a .php code be dropped in after if so how and where..thanks

Hello,

Yes, you can add a Check Forbidden Words trigger to the transaction, but you cannot validate only certain fields. All fields will be checked for bad words.

Thats great and thank you for your reply, just one further question regarding this, many people are quite aware of bad word filters and manage to get around them, by hiding them in longer words,could i combat this too by using a wildcard character, i will be using the advice on the link below if this helps..

Hello,

The Check Forbidden Words trigger only checks for words. It does not uses wildchars.
