Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. Hope someone can help me:

I want to send an email that contains an HTML form. The receipient completes the form in the email, hits Send and the results go into the database.

The email sends OK, but I can't get the data back from the user - It sort of works, but I can't get the data fields to register, only the datetime (using Entered Value and {NOW_DT}).

In my form handler, what should I set the "Get Value From" field to?

Also, when the form is submitted, how do I get it to take the user to a "thank you" acknowledgement page?

Is there a tutorial on this? Any help much appreciated.

I don't think you can easily use kollection to do this as the form action needs to point to a script on your server to process the data.

Having said that why would you want to do it that way?
How are you going to ensure the form is going to display correctly in all email clients, make it past firewalls, anti-virus and the rest...

What are you going to do if the mail client is set to display text only?

Hi Fred

Thanks for your speedy response.

In many ways, I agree with you - we already have a client login and form sections (built using MX Kollection, no problems!). However, my customer has asked me to look into this, hence the query.

I have spent quite a bit of time searching the web for information about this approach, but mostly found tutorials on how to send data from a form on web page via email. In effect the opposite of what I need!
