MX Kollection Forum :: CS4 and compatibility with extensions
This thread was displayed: 0 times
Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

I realize this question has probably been answered, but I cant really find any specific answer in the forums so I have to ask.
Does anyone know what extensions ARE compatible with CS4 and which ARE NOT?
and for those that are not, is there anyone out there that has duel versions of dreamweaver running to keep the old extensions in use. Are there any issues that you have encountered with running duel version of DW?
I am needing and considering upgrading, but I really want to prepare for what I am going to lose and plan for it.
specific extensions that i would like to know about compatibility:
KTML
MX Calendar
MX Collection 3 Pro ( think i have 3.7.1 which adobe website says it does support)
THANKS
Sam

Hi Sam,
none of Interakt´s discontinued extensions (this includes those you mention) are compatible with Dreamweaver CS3 and CS4
---------
Are there any issues that you have encountered with running duel version of DW?
--------
I have 3 Dreamweaver versions (DW MX 2004, CS3 and CS4) installed on my computer, and they don´t come in each other´s way at all, because the application and configuration data/settings reside in different folders. You can´t run them at the same time, but that´s practically all you´d need to consider.
Cheers,
Günter

I have had problems in as much if you try to use any of the developer's stuff that replaced InterAkt in CS3 if changes quite a few of the classes and generally screws things up.
The only answer is to use 8 for such work and not go near CS3. None of them work with CS4 and there are rumous that the developer's toolbox is not being adapted for CS4

Like so many rumours about ADDT, this one is also completely wrong -- a CS4 compatible ADDT version (version number 1.0.1) has been officially released about one week ago.
Those ADDT users who want to download this free update should visit the ADDT forums where I left several well-visible announcements about the availability and the download link.
Cheers,

to wrap this up, I´d say ADDT equals what you know as MX Kollection Pro, but it doesn´t include KTML or any other discontinued extension.
