Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

I am surprised that even 2 years after InterAKT was consumed by Adobe that the MXKollection utilities are my first choice for building PHP sites.
I have actually resisted upgrading to CS4 because I don't want to lose this functionality.
Have any of you found a product that even comes close?
Don't suggest WebAssist because I have all their stuff and it lacks the integration and finesse of the InterAkt products.

I agree. The Interakt tools are still the best, even though they're getting a bit old. I have some WebAssist components, but their hype is much better than their implementations.

Same here...
Still not upgraded for the same reasons.
Tried some webassist components and have to agree they lack the capabilities and functionality of the Interakt tools.

Perhaps I could also interject here. Without doubt the Interakt products were so superb that I mostly use Dreamweaver 8. I find the AJAX toolbox superb and the word processor KTML is far better than anything else.
An insider tells me that Adobe is dropping the toolbox.

One of the things that I learned from the InterAKT products was the benefit of classes and a slant towards object oriented programming.
If Adobe plans to abandon the ADDT idea, then I will eventually need a new toolkit.
I am considering Code Igniter, but I don't know enough about it yet to know whether I want to invest in the learning curve to use it.
Have any of you tried it or had luck with a similar product?

I also use webassist and I am frustrated with thier documentation. I find myself using thier support quite a bit for things I think should be in documentation. That is the big difference from Interakt for me. I do think webassist is good - but for those that want to change things around its frustrating.
I do use dmxzone.com to buy plugins. I particularly like anything by George Petrov. They seem to be very intuitive and have very little bugs.
I would love to see interakt spring back to life from adobe. they have things that i did not purchase that are no longer available that i want to use. ARG.

I'm still using Dreamweaver 8 with MX Kollection and occassionaly use the Ajax Toolbox ..... It was an extrememly sad day when Adobe got their mits the Interakt extensions, I couldn't blame the Interakt people for cashing in, if that's what they did, thankfully like I guess many here I've been using the MX Kollection set for so long now, I've generally no need for tech support any more .... Do Adobe even understabnd or care about web development, if there droping the ADDT then that says soemthing to me !!

Yes have to agree with all of you, InterAKT is the best I still come to this forum before the ADDT one as its better(I believe). I too still run DW 8 just for the InterAKT tools. It seems Adobe are going backwards not forwards. As for webassist I have just bought eCart & was shocked at the lack of documentation & would probably not purchase anything else from them. Yes InterAKT tools are getting old but they are still the best, so old is ok.
Cheers from NZ

I also agree with you all, I'm using DW8 only for Interakt It's the best. I usually check the adobe site to see if they have released the Toolbox but you see, the early 2009 is over and no good news is coming. I'm s sad, i hope this will encourage Adobe people to develop the toolbox.
