Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

I just spoke to a guy called Martijn Koopmans at Adobe Technical support (UK number) and he spoke to their Dreamweaver "Expert" who confirmed that there WILL be a new version of (Interakt) Kollection released for Dreamweaver CS.
It will not be available at the launch of DW CS.
So, got that - Martijn Koopmans, an employee of Adobe, has catagorically stated that there will be a new version of the Kollection extensions for Dreamweaver CS. So it must be true eh?
He also said that no features of Kollection have been built into Dreamweaver CS.

What is upgrade price if you already have Kollection? I would like to purchase this product but don't want to pay twice if new version will be available soon.
Since Interakt will have policy for an upgrade (just confirmed over the phone to Interakt), what is scenaio for people who purchase lisence just before new version released. Will these people will get upgrade free or will they be treated on standard basis.
Thanks

Whoo - we heard it here first! Good sleuthing, Mark, thanks.
It didn't make sense that Adobe would just buy up and sit on a highly marketable toolset. If we've been a bit harsh on the Interakt team in these forums, our impatience is just a sign of our passion for your product!

Forgot to mention, that when I spoken to Inteakt they didn't deny new version, but could not give new prices guidelines regards updates. So now new version definitely will be out, but next question is 'When'.

Yeah. GREAT NEWS!!! I know I have been one of those who have been impatiant with InterAKT (Adobe Romania) to respond to all of these threads on Dreamweaver CS3 compatibility with MX Kollection, and if there is any upgrades or somethint going to be release that will help us continue what we as developers do using the MX Kollection tools. I even bought MS Expression Web as my backup, used Visual Sutio Developer 2005 and other tools to get me prepared.
One thing I did though - I told my company that Dreamweaver is still going to be my #1 authoring tool and I was hoping that my #1 extensions tool will follow through with a new, compatible one with DWCS3.
I hope it happens soon because I will not go to DWCS3 without MX Kollection CS version. ...well, maybe I will, and remain patient with the Romnai guys.
Another thing I gree with...our impatiance with InterAKT, now Adobe Romania just shows our passion for the awesome tools they have provided us over the years to make web design and development under dreamweaver more bearable. I can tell you one thing though, Adobe Romania, Ever since I came on board using your tools, I have met all my deadlines at approx 2 weeks in advance. This is how much you have made my life so easy!!!!!
Thanks.

Hmmm, so I do not understand why Adobe bought out Interakt.
Adobe should have made a standard version of Dreamweaver for designers and a pro version for developers (with dynamic data access and Interakt included).

Yeah, I think a lot of people were expecting exactly that.
Its all very well trying to manipulate your market through the positioning of your products - with Flex and CF for developers and Flash and DW for designers - but I believe Adobe have underestimated the middle ground. I'm pretty certain a much bigger proportion of development is being done with DW behaviors and Flash components than both of their 'developer-label' products put together. Flex is cool, but too young, too proprietory and too expensive. CF is showing its age and can't compete with .NET 2.0 or even PHP 5. I don't know a designer who hasn't built a form with DW or a developer who hasn't snuck in a couple of DW behaviors to meet a deadline on a quick job...
Just my 2 cents...

So am I: No Kollection, no DWCS3 !
Forgot the middle ground - exactly that: I even think that they don't know how many sites are often made with using extensions and at least just by one person! Their idea of software that works perfect for big teams, seperated in designers and developers, is nice but
I know so many 1-man-"Designdevelopers", that I think they should not underestimate the needs of these people! I surfed through the new sites of DWCS3 on the adobe website, but I did not even found one word about any server behaviour (not just from interakt, also included (old) ones) or functionality!? I can't believe that.

Well - that's not good news (about KTML). Are we going to have to develop backend (admin pages) with DW8 and Kollection with KTML and develop front end with DWCS3 separately? that almost seems like the only solution right now.
Why in the world would Adobe take a powerful integrated working developer time-saving solution that integrates with their DW product and not leverage that to their advantage (vs. buying and ignoring it).
