Hello,

Can you give us a screenshot showing the problem you are having? Also, please attach a screenshot with your Extension Manager.

Regards,

Hello,

Please rename your configuration folder, located here: C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration. When you rename/delete the "Configuration" folder, all the extensions are disabled from DW. You then have a clean configuration - this can be useful in many situation, as Dreamwever's .xml files could get messed up from too many extensions installations.

Also, rename the Configuration folder from here: c:\Program Files\Macromedia\Extension Manager\Configuration\. This is a similar folder, but only for the Extension Manager (and it's specific for Dreamweaver 8)

Then, start Extension Manager, let it rebuild the cache and install Impakt 3.7.0 (that's the latest release that you should download from our website). Then, try to make another test.

Regards
Florin

Thank you for your response,

I renamed the two configuration directories and downloaded the latest release 3.7.1 and installed them through the extension manager, restarted Dreamweaver 8.02.

Upon restart, I do find the icon on the bar, however when I start up the control panel, the only two icons that live there are:1. the Change Current site settings/Update Includes folder and 2. Chanrge current Dreamweaver settings/Product Upgrades.

I successfully run them both, promising of utilities to help me, but, after restarting and opening the Control Panel icon, I am still stuck...

Hello,

I have installed the latest version on ImpAKT build 3.7.1 and I was unable to duplicate your problem.

Please close your Dreamweaver and rename your current Configuration folder (you can find it here: <system_drive>:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\). Now open the Extension Manager and unistall all the extensions(only InterAKT) and then install the latest ImpAKT build. Close Extension Manager and open Dreamweaver 8 and try to reproduce the problem. If the problem still persist please write to us on our forums.

Best Regards,
Catalin Anastasoaie

Lucky I found this..:) Thanks Jon Sakata for reporting this problem. I am not sure what is supposed to happen when using the Control Panel as I too have been unable to get past this:

...did all as suggested previously.
