Dynamic Tree Menu Server Behavior

This section presents the dialog box of the dynamic server behavior that MX Tree Menu comes with. Before applying it, you have to create a recordset from which the menu will retrieve its structure (and of course, have the site definition and database connection correctly configured). Then follow the next steps:

  1. If you don't have the Design View opened, click the corresponding button to open it;
  2. Click inside the editable area, in the spot you want the menu inserted. If the cursor is not on page (for example, you just created the recordset and haven't clicked anywhere on the page yet), an Error Dialog box will point it out when trying to add the server behavior;
  3. In order to see how to access this server behavior, see Workspace orientation;
  4. Complete the dialog box. It has two tabs, and the settings for each one of them are described in detail:
    ·  Setting the 'Menu Data' tab options
    ·  Setting the 'Advanced' tab options
  5. After configuring all the desired parameters, click OK to insert the server behavior into the page;
  6. A translator will be shown in the Dreamweaver page where the tree menu is placed:

  7. Save the page and preview it in the browser by pressing the F12 button.
