Online activation

If you have chosen the online activation method all you need is the username and password provided when you registered with InterAKT Online's web site. You will enter this data into the user interface fields, and then click on Activate:

 

After you've filled in your username and password, and clicked on Activate, the product will compare the data you've provided with the ones stored in InterAKT's online database A database refers to data organized and stored on a computer that can be searched and retrieved by a computer program. Most industrial-strength and many smaller database applications can be addressed using SQL (Structured Query A query is a SQL command that will extract information from the tables of a database. Essentially, a query is a request for information from your database. Language).. If a match is found, a key will be automatically sent and will register the product.

When using this activation method, you must have an established Internet connection.

If you do not wish to use the automatic activation, you can click on the Offline activation radio button to switch methods.

Question:

Would I be correct in saying that the activation process does not have support for proxy servers? This is obviously very important to those of us using the product in corporate environments where all Internet traffic must be routed through corporate proxies.

Answer:

If you are using MAC OS and you are attempting to activate your products online, via a proxy server, activation will fail. This occurs because Dreamweaver does not recognize proxy servers defined in MAC OS. We advise you to use offline activation instead.

Question: On line activation with Macromedia has been a bit of a challenge.  Especially when using a product licence (legally) between  a development system  and a secondary system.  What rules will you follow with respect to multiple activations?  Will you have a 1-800 supportline for activation failures?
Answer: While we can\'t have a toll-free line (we\'re on a different timezone), we\'ll do our best to support any problem that might appear when activating. However, I suggest you guys activate at least 5 days before the trial goes out, to make sure that you will be able to use the product as long as we\'re fixing the potential activation problems.

Regarding the usage of one MX Kollection license on multiple computers, we allow this, as long as you don\'t use them in the same time (work and home computer, work and laptop computer). Check the MX Kollection license file for more details.
