KTML 4 provides significantly improved compatibility and support in several areas.
KTML 4 improves the Web Accessibility Initiative support, compared to its previous versions. It secures the first level of compliance. Therefore, some of the Properties panels have been changed to allow you to set this type of properties. Here are a few examples:
The Advanced view of the Table Properties panel allows you to set the table Summary (attribute) and Caption (tag).
The Simple view of the Flash Properties panel allows you to set an alternate image (displayed in the Internet Explorer browser, when there is no support for running Flash movies).
KTML 4 is compatible with XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
Although KTML 3.5 supported Mozilla and Firefox, the compatibility with the two browsers is clearly more visible in KTML 4.
KTML 4 brings good news for those of you who use non-Latin languages (and keyboards). If the right page encoding is set, the letters inserted in page will be displayed just as they look when you switch to Code view (they will not be displayed as HTML entities anymore).
