Better organized interface

The KTML 4 user interface has been redesigned to be more useful. It mimics the look and feel of popular text processor applications such as Microsoft Word. From the new word-like toolbars and contextual menus to the more subtle changes in labels and tooltips, KTML 4 aims to make you feel comfortable editing online content:

Right-click contextual menus

Most people find it much easier to use the mouse than the main menu when searching for the needed tool. KTML 4 provides right-click operations and contextual menus. Here are some examples:

  1. When right-clicking a selected piece of text, the operations will include Cut, Copy, Paste, as well as special functions to paste from Word, to save as template, or to clean the HTML code:

  2. When right-clicking inside a table, specific options will be displayed, such as: add row/column, increase/decrease colspan, remove row/column:

  3. When right-clicking on an image, you will be offered the possibility to quickly reach the image editor or to resize the current image:

The right-click facilities help you reach the tool you need much faster, and at the same time, it keeps your toolbar clean of rarely used icons.

More toolbars to work with

KTML 4 offers five toolbars that group buttons with similar functionality:

  1. Standard toolbar
  2. Formatting toolbar
  3. Styles toolbar
  4. Insert toolbar
  5. Form toolbar

When first configuring your KTML 4 installation (and not only then), you can choose the toolbars to be shown in page, their order, as well as the buttons you want displayed in each of them. Even when editing content in browser you can choose what buttons to show in each toolbar - simply click the Show/hide buttons arrow on the right of each toolbar, then click the Add/Remove Buttons option, and check/uncheck buttons according to your preferences:

Collapse/expand the toolbars and properties panel

In order to enlarge the content editing area, the toolbars and the properties panel can collapse - just click the arrow button on the top left corner of the interface:

To return to the state in which they show, click the arrow button on the top of the interface:
